May 24, 2019 — HREA is thrilled to announce it's newest Partner - Ellen Petersen! Ellen is an executive coach and consultant with over 25 years of experience providing coaching, executive strategy, business, and leadership facilitation across a spectrum of top-ranked organizations and industries, in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, across the globe. Her industry and functional coaching experience are far reaching: pharmaceutical, petrochemical, manufacturing, automotive, banking, financial, insurance, consumer products, real estate, healthcare, tech, fine fragrance, hospitality, and managed services. She has coached executives through turbulent organizational change -- acquisition, mergers, turnaround, start-ups, new positions and new market expansion -- and achievement of their personal career goals. Ellen has specialized in assisting leaders as they assume new positions and build teams, consensus, communication, constructive conflict, followership, and brand themselves. She is featured in the book, Coaching Competencies and Corporate Leadership, by Dr. Tracey Weiss. Prior to starting her own firm, Ellen served as Vice President, Human Resources, at ARAMARK, where she had accountability for the health care and refreshment services businesses, as well as global training and organizational development across the businesses. Ellen’s capstone assignment was to assist the CEO in managing the transition from a private to a publicly held company; she was responsible for planning and managing internal employee communications for this endeavor. Ellen is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) and completed a Leadership Coaching Certification from Georgetown University. She also has a bachelor of science in labor relations from Cornell University. She is certified to administer a number of instruments used in coaching individuals and teams such as Hogan, DISC, CCL feedback, ESCI (Emotional Intelligence) and MBTI. She is on the Board of the Economy League of the Philadelphia Region (Chair of the Leadership Exchange Committee) and Broad Street Ministries. She moderates forums for issues of critical public interest to Philadelphia and the U.S. such as the Philadelphia mayoral election, waterfront development, and both Philadelphia and Federal budgets.

Join HREA & speaker, Christelle LaPolice, Ph.D. - Industrial & Organizational Psychologist, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This session is titled, The Goldilocks Zone of Leadership Development. Event will take place at the Union League of Philadelphia from 7:30am-10:00am.

With so many options available for leadership coaching and development out there, it is only natural for any HR management team to find themselves with a confusing amount of choices. Dr. Christelle LaPolice has been working as a consultant, a director of leadership development, and a chief learning officer for more than 23 years and she has helped many organizations choose the approach that is “just right” for them.

During this session, Dr. LaPolice will discuss the leadership development options selected by three different large federal organizations (two in the Intelligence Community and one Financial Regulator) representing three different points on the development “continuum.” A review of these three development choices and their subsequent impact will help you make smarter choices for your organization. Please join us for what we hope will be an honest and dynamic discussion of real-world examples.

About Christelle LaPolice

Christelle LaPolice is an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist with 20 years of experience as a consultant developing, implementing, and evaluating human capital systems in more than 15 Federal agencies. Christelle has served as the Chief Learning Officer and the Dean for the College of Leadership Development at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Christelle draws on her strong interpersonal skills, advanced study of human behavior, and deep understanding of the challenges and complexities that leaders face to help her clients enhance their leadership capabilities. She is an ICF certified coach and has coached and guided executives through organizational change, new role assimilation, and achievement of their leadership and personal career goals. Christelle wrote her dissertation on leader behavior and employee satisfaction which included more than 17,000 Federal employees in the sample. Christelle LaPolice has a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The George Washington University and she is a graduate of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
